EAST CENTRAL KANSAS — The Miami County Sheriff’s office is reporting a few minor weather-related accidents this morning. Although little or no additional accumulations of snow is expected, the sheriff’s department said roadways will be slippery and hazardous this morning. There are several reports to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department of vehicles that have slid off the roads and into ditches. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a semi-truck rolled over on I-35 in southwestern Franklin County. Light snow continues to fall across most of the area and the National Weather sSrvice predicts between 1 and 2 inches of snow are expected in Miami County before snow begins to taper off from west to east. The weather service said a mixture of light snow, snow grains or freezing drizzle will continue to fall for the rest of the day into this evening.
