OTTAWA — The Ottawa City Commission has called a special meeting Wednesday night at 7 to hold a public hearing on demolishing the former Hometown Computers building at 124 S. Main. So far, commissioners have been reluctant to allow demolition to other than the top floor of the historic three-story downtown business building but will listen to a presentation from the representatives of the Kansas City-area bank that owns the building through foreclosure to raze it. KOFO will broadcast the special meeting live on KMXN 92.9 FM HD-2 and on-line at kofo.com. The special meeting is in addition to the regular city commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday morning at 9:30.
