WELDA — Forsooth, yonder gallant knight will soon gallop and sally forth on reality TV. Former Welda rodeo steer wrestling champion Rope Myers of Texas has been appearing on the History Channel’s “Full Metal Jousting.” The Anderson County Review reported he was featured last Sunday but wasn’t picked to joust but could do so in later episodes. The show is exactly what it suggests – armored horseriders trying to unseat or strike each other with wooden lances, similar to the medieval sport – but with the chattering commentators and cameras.
