LYNDON — The 14-point whitetail buck that made a Topeka man a champion at the Monster Buck Classic at Topeka last month got him a prize appearance in Osage County Dstrict Court. The Osage County Chronicle-Herald reported that David Kent is accused of poaching the deer and faces eight charges as a result. The Wichita Eagle reported that Kansas wildlife and parks agents matched the antlers from Kent’s deer to a game camera photo taken in Osage County of a live buck. The Eagle also reported Kent confessed to poaching.
