TOPEKA — The second of three groups of soldiers from the Kansas National Guard’s 1st Battalion of the 161st Field Artillery and the 35th Military Police Company will return to Kansas today after a year-long deployment to Djibouti in the Horn of Africa. A welcoming ceremony will be this afternoon at Forbes Field in Topeka. About 175 soldiers will return today. The field artillery battalion includes a detachment stationed at Paola.
