OTTAWA — The Ottawa police have been investigating a death of an Ottawa man reported this morning in the 1100 block of South Maple Street. Police Chief Dennis Butler said officers have been investigating and the coroner was called to the home. Butler said the death appears to be suicide. Butler said the department’s policy is not to identify a suicide victim unless it occurred in a public area. This afternoon, KOFO News received a death notice from a local funeral home for school board vice-president Darrell Bourque who lives in the 1100 block of South Maple Street.
