KANSAS CITY — The show must go on – but this Saturday instead. Country music star George Strait ended his show Saturday evening in Kansas City’s Sprint Center because of illness. Strait performed two songs before about 18,000 people before he told fans he needed to stop the concert. Fans reported that his voice seemed hoarse and raspy. He told fans he’d be back Saturday night for them and told them to hold onto their tickets.
Kansas native Martina McBride opened the show and sang for more than an hour. McBride will also open the rescheduled second show.
