CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming House of Representatives is getting ready for The Big One. The Casper Star-Tribune reported the House is pushing a bill that launches a study on what Wyoming should do in case of a complete economic or political collapse in the U.S.. The bill would create a state-run government task force to predict and prepare potential catastrophes, ranging from disruptions in food and energy supplies and complete national anarchy. The paper reported that before advancing House Bill 85 by a voice vote, lawmakers struck out language directing the task force to look at raising a standing army, and its own military draft to fill it; and buying an aircraft carrier with strike aircraft. The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. David Miller said he doesn’t expect any major crises hitting America but with the national debt exceeding $15 trillion and protest movements growing around the country, one can’t be too careful.
