CENTROPOLIS — Homes and farm buildings northwest of Centropolis were damaged by Tuesday night’s severe storms rolling through the area. Franklin County Emergency Management’s Vickie Eckhart said extensive damage has been reported along the Douglas County line and in the northwestern corner of Franklin County. Some homes were damaged and at least one barn and a grain bin were destroyed by the winds, she said. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Douglas County after indications of a tornado or cloud rotation near Globe.
