LAWRENCE — There’s more classical gas for KANU-FM Kansas Public Radio. The public radio station at Kansas University said a classical AM radio station in Kansas City will donate 3,700 CDs. Kansas City’s KXTR also known as Radio Bach, Classical 1660 AM, will change its format to an all-business news station on March 5. ansas Public Radio has a CD library of approximately 30,000 discs, including about 20,000 classical music CDs and about 5,000 vinyl records, mostly jazz and bluegrass LPs that haven’t been re-issued on CD Any duplicate CDs will be given to the Audio-Reader benefit sale on Sept. 14-15.
