OTTAWA — County Commissioner David Hood and his wife helen hood are collecting paper goods and non-perishable foods for Harveyville, which was severely damaged by a tornado Tuesday night. Don’t donate closes, Helen Hood said. Items can be dropped at the public transportation office behind the Ottawa senior center. She said you can also call the public transportation office at 242-7440 or the Hoods at 242-5889 or 418-7022. She said she expects items to be trucked to Harveyville beginning next week.
