GARNETT — The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department is offering parents some help in monitoring their children’s Internet activities. Sheriff Jeff Hupp told the Anderson County Review that his office has CD-ROMs that parents can install on their personal computers to monitor their children’s activities on the Web. The software provides a log with every e-mail, post, upload, download, search and chat made by the user, including access to a child’s Facebook and MySpace accounts. The disks will be provided free on a first-come, first-serve basis. Requests should be made in person at the sheriff’s department at the county law enforcement center. The programs are also offered for sale at www.computercop.com for $39.95.
