TOPEKA – The Kansas Division of Emergency Management has established a donations management Web site to help connect people who wish to donate money to communities affected by last week’s tornadoes. These areas include Harveyville in Wabaunsee County and 18 additional counties including Franklin and Douglas counties. To make a donation go to the Web site www.ksready.gov. There is a link on the page that allows individuals or groups to make monetary donations. There is also a link for companies or organizations with access to large volumes of items who would like to donate them to disaster relief efforts or other humanitarian efforts. This includes clothing, cleaning supplies, construction, electrical or plumbing materials; food, heavy tools, medical supplies, shelter and other items or services to help in the disaster recovery.
