GARNETT – A Holocaust play about a woman who rescued over 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II will be performed in Garnett next week. “Life in a Jar” is the prize-winning play about Irena Sendler and written by Uniontown High School students. It will be performed Thursday night at 7 at the Anderson County High School auditorium. The cast includes some of the former students who wrote the script. Due to the serious nature of the performance, the play isn’t recommended for young children grade 2 and younger. The Garnett Chamber Players’ and CPCT Theatre for Young Audiences are sponsoring the performance so there is no admission fee. You can also check the Website at www.irenasendler.org.
