WELDA — It’s been a hot knight for former Anderson County cowboy Rope Myers. The Anderson County Review reported that the Texas-based rodeo star has been one of the featured contestants on a reality television program called “Full Metal Jousting” on the History Channel. The show brings competitors from various backgrounds and introduces them to the old sport of jousting and then outfits them in metal duds and puts them on horses. Two horse riders face off across a fence and ride towards each other and try to hit each other’s armor with a long wooden lance. Points are awarded based on the results of the collisions. So far, Myers has been among the top winners.
