WASHINGTON — If you have soybeans salted away in storage, you may have an opportunity for some quick cash. A new report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture says that world soybean production is suddenly down. High temperatures and drought has caused severe damage to the U.S.’s major South American soybean competitors in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay Economist Larry Salathe said that has bumped up the price of American soybeans by about 30 cents per bushel.
