PARKER — Parker has a new library. The Osawatomie Journal reports that the grand opening of the new Linn County Library District No. 1 attracted the First Reader – Gov. Sam Brownback, a Parker native. The new library is larger and has an improved computer system. Authors who live in or came from the parker area also attended the grand opening, including children’s writer Beverly Knapp of Wellsville, Robert Tyson of Parker, western and outdoor writer Ken Kieser of Olathe and memoir writer Kevin Gray of Paola. Marti McDougal is the library director.
