LAWRENCE – March madness or St. Patrick’s Day? The Douglas County Sheriff’s office will conduct saturation traffic patrols tonight and Saturday night. Extra sheriff’s deputies will be out in force into the early morning hours each day. Deputies will be watching for impaired driving, speeding, and seat belt use, and other traffic violations. These enforcement events are the result of a partnership of the sheriff’s office and the Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office.
