LAWRENCE — Douglas County prosecutors have filed criminal hunting charges against four men in connection with a sting operation conducted by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism in December. The Lawrence Journal-World reported that game rangers put a life-size, stuffed deer on private land in Douglas County to entice would-be poachers to take shots at it after the deer season. Darrell Norris, 70, rural Baldwin City; Raymond Holden, 43, Olathe; and Christopher Sandow, 44, Olathe; have pleaded not guilty to charges filed in connection with the sting. Theodore Sandow, 50, Olathe; also has been charged in connection with the hunting sting.
