OTTAWA — The percussion group “Sheltered Reality” will perform from 7 to 9 at Ottawa Municipal Auditorium in a first-time ever performance for Ottawa’s Spring Fling. The group from Nebraska brings music with message as well as bang-up beat, said Mary Lois Yates, one of the Spring Fling organizers. Some members of the audience may also get a fast drumming lesson as part of the performance, she said. Bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for ECKAN. Also for tonight, skating for kids 10 and under is tonight from 6 to 9 at The Rink. Admission is $1 per skater. The open gym night at the ORC Goppert Building continues to 9 tonight. First thing Tuesday morning at 9, the OU Soccer Experience at OU’s Peoples Bank Field – at OU’s Mabee Center in case of inclement weather. Grades 3-5 from 10 to 11 and grades 7-12 from 11 to noon. “The Don’t Be Board” board games at the ORC Goppert Center also begin at 9. Ottawa Library’s Storytime is 10, as is the “Teachin’ Tots” activity for children ages 3-5 and their parents at the ORC’s Woodward Center. Open gym day at the ORC Goppert Building begins at 10 a.m. and continues to 9 p.m. The Great Scott Dickinson will perform magic beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, Seventh and Elm, with free lunch to follow at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.
