OTTAWA – Tonight, it’s “The Muppet Movie.” Wednesday, animals will be wild for Ottawa’s Spring Fling. This afternoon, the West Franklin cheerleaders will conduct a cheer clinic at the Ottawa Recreation Commission’s Woodward Center 4-6. Skating for kids 11 and older will be 6-9 tonight at The Rink. Admission is $1 per skater. The Ottawa Public Library will host Storytime at 7. The movie will be at 7 at the Ottawa Municipal Auditorium. For the first time ever, the spring fling will offer something that’s long been requested – a petting zoo, said co-organizer Mary Lois Yates. The petting zoo, hosted by Franklin County 4Hers, will be 9-11 Wednesday at the fairgrounds, rain or shine. An open gym day at the ORC Goppert Center is 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Free golf lessons will go from 9 to noon, depending on the age of the golfer, at either the Great Life Golf Course or at OU’s Mabee Center, depending on the weather. A puppet show will be 10 to 11 at the First Baptist Church, with free lunch to follow at 11 at the church. The Franklin County School Kids Art Exhibit opens at noon at the Carnegie Culture Center’s basement and goes until 5.
