KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A federal grand jury in Kansas City, Kan., indicted several Ottawans today of taking part in a drug ring in Ottawa. Connie Edwards, 60; Brandi Bevins, 33; Shirley Price, 44; Angela Mitchell, 35; Tamara Ledom, 36; Brittany Edwards, 19; Dustin Price, 23; and Joel Keith Price, 54, all of Ottawa; are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute oxycodone. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said the indictments cover a period from Jan. 1, 2010, to last month. In addition, Ddwards is charged with three counts of distribution of oxycodone, separate charges of maintaining residences at 412 S. Sycamore and 816 S. Lincoln for drug trafficking and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. Shirley Price is charged with eight counts of distributing oxycodone, two counts of distributing morphine and one count of maintaining a residence at 1038 S. Locust for drug trafficking. Angela Mitchell faces three charges of maintaining a residence at 412 S. Sycamore, at 1038 S. Locust and at 816 S. Lincoln for drug trafficking and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
