PAOLA — Paola VFW Post 3712 soon may become a smoke-free facility, depending on the results of a vote next week. Post commander Pete Bell told the Miami County Republic that VFW members will vote at Tuesday’s meeting on banning tobacco at the post. Several other area VFW posts have gone smoke-free, and Bell said he hopes that it would attract more families and other community members to VFW events.
