OTTAWA — The Ottawa school board will have a new member but a familiar face. The board picked former long-term board member Bill Allegre, an Ottawa pharmacist to the board Monday night. Four people applied for the vacancy created by the death of Darrell Bourque – besides Allegre, they are Linda Alderman, Russ Wilson and Harold Wingert. Board members interviewed all four and then voted to select Allegre. All four candidates were impressive and would have done a good job on the board, said school Supt. Dean Katt. Allegre, who is vill will have be sworn in at the courthouse and will on the board at the next meeting. Allegre’s term will go until next year.
