OTTAWA — A 21-year-old Ottawa woman was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon as a result of a two-vehicle crash at Old Highway 59 and Sand Creek Road. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said Jaleigh Bemis was driving her car south on Old 59 Highway when Alan Johnson, 48, Oottawa, turned in front of her to go west on Sand Creek Road. Bemis’ car smashed head-on into Johnson’s pickup. The report didn’t say if Johnson was injured. The crash closed the intersection for a couple of hours.
