GARNETT – March has been roaring like a lion in Anderson County in the last couple of weeks. Last week’s series of heavy rains brought the county to rainfall levels to near normal. The Anderson County Review reported that the county had been more than nine inches below normal rainfall levels in the first three months of the year. However, in the last part of March, most areas of Anderson County received more than eight inches of rain. Last week saw daily rainfall records in the county and this year, Anderson County has seen nearly three times the normal rainfall for March. The county has also seen records and near-records for high temperatures in March.
