TOPEKA — Kansas Highway Patrol is marking its 75th anniversary by issuing 14 cars painted in the highway patrol’s traditional colors to road troopers across the state. The Ford Crown Victorias will sport the blue and gray color scheme previously used on KHP patrol cars, and a red cherry beacon on top. Troopers who receive the retro cars will attend community events and continue their normal road patrol duties. the cars mark another milestone – they’re the some of the last Crown Victorias ever manufactured.
