OTTAWA — It’s called Project 17. And it soon be coming to Franklin County. Franklin County commissioners will hold its annual county government and business summit with the Ottawa-Franklin County Economic Development and this year will focus on regional efforts with other counties and cities. The 17-county cooperative called Project 17, which seeks to revitalize southeastern Kansas will be one of the top topics for the summit. Other regional efforts to be highlighted include Franklin County Health Department’s effort with several small rural counties to jointly receive accreditation. The summit is tentative set for May 16.
