LAWRENCE – A Douglas County jury convicted a 23-year-old Richmond man Tuesday in connection with two robberies in Lawrence that occurred last year. Jurors found Mikael Englund guilty of two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary. He was aquitted of aggravated battery and aggravated intimidation of a victim in connection with the March 2011 robbery of a Lawrence man. Englund was accused of taking part in a January 2011 armed robbery, taking marijuana, money and electronics from the same Lawrence man, the Lawrence Journal-World reported. Three other co-defendants have agreed to plea deals in connection to the robberies. Englund will be sentenced on May 10.
