OTTAWA-An unidentified Kansas resident claimed his or her share of the Mega Millions Lottery $656 million jackpot this morning at the state lottery office headquarters in Topeka.  The winning ticket was a Quick Pick and was sold from the North Casey’s store in Ottawa.  The mood at the store Friday afternoon was jubilant with everyone wondering just who the lucky winner might be.  The winner chose to take a lump sum of $158 million before taxes instead of 26 yearly payments totaling $218.6 million.  After taxes, the winner walks away with $110 million.  Other winning tickets are held by as-yet-unidentified people in Maryland and Illinois.
