MANHATTAN — U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will be Kansas State University’s spring Landon lecturer Tuesday morning at 10:30, in McCain Auditorium. Vilsack’s lecture will be “Why America Needs Agriculture.” Vilsack has served as the nation’s 30th secretary of agriculture since January 2009. He has focused on strengthening the American agricultural economy, revitalizing rural communities, protecting and conserving natural resources, and food safety research. Previously, he served two terms as Iowa’s governor.
