WASHINGTON — Four members of Ottawa’s Youth in Government recently attended the National League of Cities’ annual conference in Washington. Ottawa Youth in Government is seen as a national model and youth frrm Ottawa share their programs and troll for ideas from other cities’ youth programs. At this year’s conference, Brooke Sage, Alex Reed, Ciera Gardner and Abagael Pruitt led a round-table discussion on how to do community youth-mapping and presented their “Teen Guide to Ottawa, Kansas” publication which they created with the results from their youth-mapping efforts last year.
