GARNETT — The winners of the Academy of Country Music award for best duo of the year will perform for this year’s Cornstock. Thompson Square will perform Sept. 22 at the North Lake pPark in Garnett as part of the Anderson County Corn Festival. Husband-and-wife team, Keifer and Shawna Thompson performed the number one single, “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not,” Top-10 single “I Got You,” and “Glass,” which is now in on the Top 20 of many country lists. They were also nominated for the ACM’s best new artist. Also on the Cornstock playbill are Reckless Kelly and Ottawa’s own Travis Marvin. Wrist bands are required for entry to the concert. Sales begin May 1. Prices start at $15 through June 30 and increase to $25. Wristbands are $30 at the gate. Children five and younger are free.
