PAOLA — Miami County Extension and the American Association of Retired Persons will offer a “55 Alive” mature driving course in two weeks. The two-day course will be April 24-25 at the Miami County Extension office in Paola. The fee is $14, payable to AARP. You need not be a member of AARP to take the course and there’s no age requirement. Insurance companies are required by state law to offer discounts to those drivers who take the course. The course includes a discussion of age-related physical changes, local driving conditions and a review of the rules of the road.
