OTTAWA – The numana feeding the starving project will begin Saturday morning with registration at 8 at the National Guard armory, and food packaging to begin at 9. The local Numana group wants to package nearly 39,000 meals for people in Africa, said Carolyn Elder, one of the organizers. She said volunteers are welcome. She also asks that volunteers bring canned food for local food banks.
