OTTAWA — A counterfeit $100 bill has appeared in Ottawa. Sirloin Stockade reported Tuesday that it received the counterfeit bill. Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said the bill was passed to the restaurant about a week ago. He said it’s too early to tell if the counterfeit bill is related to a series of counterfeit $100 bills that were passed in Osage and Coffey counties, or if the serial number matches the other bills. The bank that got the bill sent it to the Secret Service, Weingartner said.
