OTTAWA – Ransom Memorial Hospital’s newly purchased medical building at 1402 South Main  will now be known as the “Raymond C. and Marguerite Gibson Medical Arts Building, ” due to years of involvement and generous philanthrophy from the couple.  RMH Public Relations Director Brenda Pfizenmaier says the hospital is grateful for the contributions of the Gibsons.

“With their gifts, we just couldn’t have done it without them,” Pfizenmaier says. “The RMH Board of Trustees, administration and staff, are very grateful to the Gibsons for their associations with the hospital over the years. ”

The late Mr. Gibson served as a hospital trustee many years ago, and Mrs.Gibson has served as a RMH Charitable Association Board Member, and continues to be active in the RMH Auxiliary. The Gibson building houses radiation therapy for cancer treatment a service that is currently provided by Dr. Darrin Klish and is located across the street from the main hospital campus.  Effective June 1st, Ransom will have a new urologist, Dr. Ty Richarsdon, who will provide local urology diagnosis, treatment , and surgery in the Gibson building.
