OTTAWA – It’s official, Sheriff Jeff Curry is entering the race for Sheriff reelection come November. He’ll be up against former Ottawa Police Detective Rick Geist, but Curry says he’s not too worried about the competition.
“I am the experienced candidate, with the experience of working in the Sheriff’s office, the experience of working in a jail…all those thing’s that a Sheriff’s office does,” Curry said. “I’m also clearly, clearly, the more experienced leader.”
Curry filed for election Friday morning. Curry has been serving as Franklin County Sheriff for nearly two years following the retirement of Former Sheriff Craig Davis.
