GARNETT — A public reception for former Garnett mayor and city commissioner Mike Norman will be this afternoon from 4 to 6 at the commission room at Garnett City Hall. Norman served on the city commission nearly 24 years. He was unseated by Preston Peine in the city election earlier this month. Refreshments will be served. The reception precedes the city commission meeting at 6.
