OSAWATOMIE — When it comes to financial and accounting, a group of Osawatomie High School students have proven they’re among the nation’s best and brightest. The Osawatomie Graphic reports that students in of Beth Stout-Rhine’s office procedures class and Melody Wendt’s personal finance and accounting classes qualified for the second straight year in the state Financial Showdown in Wichita April 19. 26 OHS students ranked in the top 20 percent across the country and six ranked in the top 10 percent nationwide. Those students were Angie Cater, Shelby Cooke, Amanda Crouch, Monica McDougal, Justin Singer and Tricia Hadsall are be eligible for $1,000 national scholarships.
