OTTAWA — The Ottawa Farmers Market opens begins this afternoon at 4 in the Orscheln Farm & Home parking lot. Because of the warm winter, the spring produce will be available early this year, including asparagus, lettuce greens and other produce, said market manager Mike Gearhardt.. He said otherwise, there aren’t immediate changes in the farmers market this year, although the market is trying to arrange for a portable barbeque vendor to join. The farmer’s market, will be Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 7 and Saturday mornings from 8 to noon through the last Wednesday or Saturday of October.
