OTTAWA — In the annals of crime in old days, criminals broke rocks. Nowadays, they steal the rocks from the county roads. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said someone stole gravel from the road in the 3000 block of Utah Road near Imes. The loss was estimated at about $3,100. It’s the second time in two months that someone has stolen gravel from a county road.
