OTTAWA — The 4th annual police memorial service will be tonight at 6:30 at the Ottawa First Baptist Church. The service, hosted by the Ottawa Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff’s office, is open to the public and is being held in connection with this week’s National Peace Officers Memorial Week. The service will honor Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Samuel Smith and Ottawa Police Department Capt. Robert Cowdin, who died in the line of duty.
