OTTAWA — A woman moving out of her rental house east of Ottawa got some help from the Olathe Fire Department bomb squad this afternoon. The woman was moving out of the house in the 3200 block of K-68 when she found an unfamiliar box, Franklin County Deputy Jarrod Fredricks said. She found a canvas bag in the box, and opened it and found another bag, she said. She opened that bag and found what appeared to be a hand grenade. She called the sheriff’s department who called the bomb squad, Fredricks said. It’s not immediately known what kind of grenade the woman found, he said.
