OTTAWA – Ransom Memorial Hospital is adding a new full-time doctor, urologist Ty Richardson. Although the hospital has had visiting urologists, Richardson, who has practiced in the Kansas City area, is the first full-time urologist at the hospital, hospital CEO Larry Felix said. Richardson, who will begin at RMH on June 1, will also have clinic days at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. Felix said the hospital is remodelling office space for the Richardson in the Raymond and Marguerite Gibson Health Clinic across the street from the hospital. The hospital has also started seeking a full-time podiatrist, Felix said.
