OTTAWA – Volunteers are needed for the first-ever community garden workday Saturday morning at 9.
The Ottawa Volunteer Center and ECKAN are organizing a community garden at 11th and Locust. Show up if you are interested in working on the project or would like to reserve space in the garden. Bring wheelbarrows, shovels, and any other garden tools to transform the lot into a garden that will increase the fresh food supply to the community. In addition to prepping garden beds and planting, ECKAN will have information and applications for garden spots available and will be able to answer questions.
