GARNETT — Garnett police investigated a report that an elderly man may have exposed himself to Irving Primary School students in Garnett last week. However, Police Chief Kevin PeKarek told the Anderson County Review that the report could likely be unfounded. Students reported seeing a man on the south side of the school who might have exposed himself while the students were on morning recess. Garnett police said some students reportedly yelled to the man, “Pull your pants up!” Those students reported the man was wearing boxer shorts, which isn’t necessarily indecent exposure, PeKarek said. Police talked to neighbors, he said. They found that after talking with students and neighbors, it appears the man may have been working in the yard with sagging pants and did not intentionally expose his boxers, he said.
