OTTAWA — Ottawa police say a 24-year-old man stole a Ottawa Fire Department pickup from the fire department back lot at Second and Beech and led police officers on a chase through city streets late Monday night. When officers stopped the truck in the 300 block of South Cedar, the driver bolted from the truck and ran before officers caught him again, Lt. Adam Weingartner said. Joshua Jeffcoat was booked in the Franklin County jail for DUI, reckless driving, obstructing justice and resisting arrest, driving while having a suspended license, and vehicle theft.
