OTTAWA – Former police officer Rick Croucher has filed for Franklin County sheriff. Croucher filed by petition rather than pay a filing fee, County Clerk Shari Perry said. Perry said she’s checking to be sure the petition has enough voters’ names. He filed as Republican, which makes the Republican primary crowded. Sheriff Jeff Curry and former Ottawa police detective Rick Geist have also filed as Republicans. No Democrat has filed.
