GARNETT – The Fish Trot for Kids is Saturday evening at 5 at the children’s fish pond at the Garnett Country Club golf course. The event starts at the North Lake batting cages. The Fish Trot for Kids is from ages 5 to 15. Kids should bring their fishing poles and those kids 10 and under should bring adults. Also Saturday, the garnett pool opens for the summer. The pool is open weekdays from 1 to 5 and 6:30 to 8, with adult swim periods from 6 to 6:30 each weekday. The pool is open Saturday, Sunday and holiday afternoons from 1 to 6. New this year at the pool is water aerobics. Water aerobics will be weekly each Thursday evening from 5:30 to 6:15. Cost is $3 per class.
